If so, it would strongly advised just having one puppy for now and MAYBE introduce another puppy or adult dog later. The reason being that puppies really are a "handful" and one will be plenty for you. If you have experience raising puppies, then never mind. You know what you are in for. - For sure there are exceptions, but if you are dead set on having two puppies then a male/female is the best choice as far as the most likely match up to get along with each other. Just make sure one or both are spay/neutered to avoid "accidents". There is no guarantee that two puppies from the same litter will get along as they mature and their temperament evolves. Often with more than one pit bull in the house, it is necessary to "crate and rotate" or otherwise keep them totally separated unless very closely supervised. Some pit bulls just don't like other dogs, even if from the same litter, doesn't matter. - Training is extremely important with dogs and especially with pit bulls. If you have two puppies it is difficult to have each focus and you maintain their attention when distracted by the other puppy. - Some people feel they NEED two dogs so they will keep each other company. Aside from the strong possibility two pit bulls MAY not get along at some point once they mature, pit bulls don't need another dog for company. They just need their humans. Pit bulls become very attached to their family and just need YOU, not other dogs. - Whatever costs you incur with one, will be almost doubled with two. Think two crates, twice the original cost of buying or adopting, double amount of food each month, two yearly exams, two yearly shot cycles, two spay/neuter procedures, twice the likelihood of an emergency vet visit etc etc etc. Just some stuff to think about. Unless you are an experienced dog owner (experience with pit bulls preferred) it is not recommended to have two pups, especially pit bulls.
